From its very beginning the congregation of the sisters of St. Joseph of Tarbes expressed presence to the world, and concern for the poor and the disinherited, through education in schools, the care of the sick and countless humble services.
Even today, it wants to listen to the human and Christian communities into which it is inserted, responding in fidelity to its Charism and according to its possibilities, and always in accordance with the Directives of the Magisterium and of the Major Superiors. (Const… A41)
